The brazilian rosewood fretboard is in immaculate condition and the original frets show very little string wearthis bass was made in the gibson factory in kalamazoo, michigan and is all original with no missing or replaced parts or breaksoften missing with these is the felt string mute at the bridge but this one is original and intact and in fully working conditionit has the original palm rest and the really nice original torty pickguardit is in really excellent condition for 52 year old instrumentas a genuine vintage instrument from the ’s golden era of guitar manufacture it will increase its value over the years if looked after properlythe original finish is still bright and has the perfect amount of patination that a vintage instrument should have and includes some small dings and belt marks to the finish on the reversethe bass is a lot of fun to play and has a very different tonal palette to exploreit's srung with flats woundsthe one piece mahogany neck is a ’d’ profile and on the slimmer side5-inch scale jointed mahogany neck and one large sidewinder humbucking pickup in the neck positioncollect only from z1 central londonthe bass boost switch can be a little scratchy when engagedit comes with the original heavy oblong case which has taken all the abuse during its lifetime therefore allowing the bass itself to remain in fabulous conditionthe catches on the case are unpredictable and can pop outthere is also a fitted pro metal flight case for an extra £100 which gives bomb proof protection for gigging musicians but weighs an absolute tonneplease note that this flight case is in storage at a different location to the guitar and would need to be collected separately by arrangementtechnical specification the rivoli features an es-335-style semi-hollow body, made from laminated maple with a maple centre block, a short 30i’m reluctantly selling my epiphone rivoli eb232 bass

The back centre strip looks like brazilian rosewood but i can't be sureit's one of those guitars that just makes you want to play itthe nut width on these is often 1-7/8 however, this one is slightly narrower at aboutfitted with a d-tar wavelength undersaddle pickupbeautiful, huge sounding martin d-35sthe best of the undersaddles to my earsi would consider a trade for a high quality guitar although i'd prefer cashthe sale includes a non-original hard casesome people think the s stands for 'slotted' and others claim it means 'speciala lot of 35 series guitars of this era benefited from martin's diminishing stashit's in good nick for it's age with some playwear obviouslyvery few of these around nowadays
