But as they aren’t 100% speckled i am saying they are crossi have hatched these from bought eggs, they were sold to me as speckled sussex eggs, the birds look like speckled sussex but are lacking lots of speckles, i can see them coming through and i’m sure they will get lots more with each moultlovely temperaments, raised by me and friendly birds would make lovely garden birds just need some hens of their own

This is a standard cross used many years agolast year i crossed my lovely rhode island red cockerel with my light sussex hensthe female hens went on to become good layers & the cockerels were 'fatteners'social distancing will be in effect with all callers - in the current climatei have two for sale - £5these two male hatching's are now looking for a homethey were hatched julythe photo's were taken julythey will look after your hens if you are in need of a cockerel & give good warning of any predatorsboth cockerels are now just over a year olda good cockerel will also assist in eliminating any bullying in the female hensthey would have been my mum & dad's chicken dinner many years ago - before the introduction of the current ross & cobb birds etc
