Beehaus supers are approx half the size and will take about 15lb of honey eachany questions, please aski have also left some natural comb at one end in case you are a new beekeeper and want to try and catch your own beeshas had bees living in it successfully for several years without any problemsgreat for people with back problems who can't lift a normal-sized honey superbecause of it's shape it can also be used for top bar style beekeepingcomes with central divider so it can be used as two separate beehivesbeehaus for saleused but still in great conditionwhen not in use one end can be closed off and used for storageit's not hard to scrape this off, but bees settle better in any hive if it smells of beestakes british standard jumbo frames (14x12) but also fits regular standard framesgreat for italian / prolific imported queens that prefer a lot of space in the brood boxi caught more than 8 swarms in my own garden last year, all of which are healthy and still going strongbeehaus has been pressure washed, however i have left some traces of propolis at one endthis is useful for swarm control, after which you can remove the divider and reunite the colony for maximum honey productiondouble-skinned walls (with air gap insulation) mean bees overwinter brilliantly in it, and are always the first to get going in spring
