Hi, i currently have soay rams for salesoay sheep are very good conservation grazers – making them ideal for a smallholder to keep paddocks down – and they will also happily forage and clear an overgrown area in no timei am also told that soay meat is very good – akin to game – low in cholesterol and leanalso, having visited many craft fairs over the years – i have noticed that soay wool is becoming increasingly popularthey are very low maintenance – shedding their own wool, they will keep their own hooves trim if provided with some hard ground or rocks to walk or climb on and, as a general rule will lamb without any assistancethey have also proved to be good companions to my goats over the yearsrams are £40 eachbuyers must have a cph number and own transport is requiredall will be wormed and fly treated before leavingsoays are a small and very hardy breed which can be left out to graze all year round, preferring just a covered shelter in bad weatherthey are inquisitive and will come with a bucket, but are also quite timid and shy
