I had this made for my very wide, short-backed cob through marti friddle (a recognised authority on sidesaddle riding in america) at hundred oaks saddlery a few years ago, one of the last before she retiredshe recommended this design for horses such as mine where a normal sidesaddle just won't stay put! due to a back injury which has affected my balance it has had very little use and is in excellent conditionit's slightly different to a traditional english saddle, designed to be ridden where it puts youmy horse is very sensitive to weight aids but had no problems with me riding on this saddlemy cross-saddle is " d-d to give an idea of sizing

Side saddle mayhew brown sidesaddle with open head and outside girthing lovely saddle only for sale due to my horse changing shape since last year when i bought itvery good condition but could do with relining at some pointthere is some historic evidence of worn but it's been checked before i got it and it's just cosmetic mesurments 19" seat length 23" pommel to centre of rear 13" width of seat 9" d to d 16" point to point comes with leather 3 fold balance girth saddle, cover leather and iron excellent facilities if you want to bring your horse to try or am happy to bring it to you to trybefore this previous owner used it for hunting

Brown english side saddle for sale length of seat is 21” but there’s not much of a cut back so it rides more like a 18” saddle and 12” wide the gullet is 5” and from gullet to point is 15” all padding is soft there’s 1 small hole on the undersidethere is wear to the side where your heal will sit but dosnt effect useall straps are fine and all leather is soft with a doeskin seat only selling due to selling the horse it fits a 16h tb and its no longer needed£600 please message me for more pics also i have a brand new robert jenkins 3 fold girth 52” and balance strap ono happy to post both items saddle will be posted tracked and insured or collect from beer devon read more
