Skewbald, three year old, standard shetland pony type (not registered) geldinghe is a shetland type but not overweight and doesn’t get fati purchased tonto a few months ago to be a companion pony to my older horsehe comes over for food in a bucket and that’s how i catch himhe’s a lovely looking chap with gorgeous blue eyeshe’s just very nervous but with the stubbornness of a shetland! he’s passported, wormed and feet trimmedhe is tricky to catch and needs to be kept in restricted turnout for this reasonhe loves his treats and starts to relax if the handler is calm and steady around himi don’t want much for him, but he isn’t free as i don’t want him ending up in the wrong handswhen i bought him i was told he’d not had a good start in lifesadly i just don’t have the time to give him what he needshe’s happy to be left alone and doesn’t get attached to other horsesthe good bits - tonto is a fantastic companiononce you’ve got him, he’s happy to be brushed and have a fusshe is very easily spooked and very good at scaring himself! he is not suitable for children or noviceshe’s been stabled and is happy to be left in or go out on his own/with companyhe is quiet and calm in the paddockyou can take others away and he doesn’t whinny or get sillyit’s much easier having him in a smaller space, at least until he learns to trust youbut then some days if a bird flies out of the hedge and spooks him then he’ll think you’ve hurt him and doesn’t want to knowhe just needs a one to one, sympathetic handler to give him time and let him learn to trustif he went in a huge paddock you wouldn’t get near himor to just be a companion and left alonemy older horse has since been sold and now this little chap is by himself and in need of a new homethe not so good bits - although quiet, tonto is very nervous around people

Beautiful looking stallion who does live up to his name! chief is a very loving, affectionate shetland pony who would make a perfect child’s pony with a bit of workregistered with the shetland pony society - begorra fire cracker aka (mischief or chief) born i bought him straight from the breeders when he was a few months oldhe lives out in all weathershe is very mischievous and doesn’t half make us all laugh with his antics - but he is a bit of an escape artist and needs proper fencing in place to contain dora the explorer!! this is a very sad sale but i have since purchased another horse and no longer need a companion and both of my horses require plenty of grass to keep weight on and although chief is fine at the moment once he gets a bit older i worry about the implications of him being overweightonly a 5* home will do for this very cheeky chappyhe was purchased as a companion for my horse so hasn’t been broken to ride and has had very little halter training but he just loves people and fuss so i’m sure this wouldn’t be too much of a challenge£800 ono for any more details please send me a messagei would love for him to stay local if possible but the perfect home is more important
