It connects to the computer with usb, and it acts as both a midi keyboard controller and also as an audio interface (2 in 2 out) it has nice chunky mod and pitch wheels which are backlit with red leds, as are some of the other controlsthis is a very cool little controller suitable for a very compact bedroom music studio setupit also has a really cool expression controller dome that sense your hand position just above iti think that the 5 pin midi input or output may not work correctly (from memory) however if you connect to a computer with usb then this won't be an issue since the unit sends and receives midi just fine over usbit can be powered from usb or an adapter, but i have only ever used it powered from usbas far as i recall everything else works fine
