In lovely condition for its age and has a good ringing sound when tapped which shows its not crackedhas a wooden lid which being old has some woodworm holes but i have treated itthis large pot has been in the family for many years so i know it is oldstands 19" high and 16not sure what it was used for but might have been for preserving eggshas been hand thrown by a potter as you can see the throwing linesoriginally came from norfolk5" wide at the topwould look lovely as a feature in a conservatory or gardenglazed inside which is a cream colour and three quarters down the outside with a clear glaze so retaining the natural terracotta colour4 strap handles on the outside
