A genuine victorian davenport deskdo not confuse this with a foreign reproduction deskdesigned as a military campaign piece of portable furniture by captain davenport cat some time someone has given this desk a few coats of clear glossy varnishany examination whatsoever is no problem, please wear a maskbe first to grab a genuine bargain at just £250 read morethis is a beautythis piece is in excellent condition though not pristine museum qualityit's another these jobs i never get around to doingmy intention was to lightly sand it and varnish it in a matt finish which in my opinion would look a lot better at virtually no cost£2 worth a varnish and an hour or two in time

Stunning solid wood davenport desk with carved legs the raised top lifts to reveals a long compartment for pens/rulers etcthe front of the desk has nice shaped carved legs with four drawers to the side, the desk stands on bun feetthe sides have 4 drawers on each (8 in total) slight pen marks on the wood in places that can be sanded off and re-waxed - or painted overheight: 33 inches, width 21 inches, depth 21 inches from a pet free, smoke free home pick up only - papal payment or cash read morethe fall when opened upwards reveals 8 small drawers with storage spacethe lid is attachable via hinges - i used it without but it can be re-attached of preferred (see image)
