Beautiful quartet of unrelated chocolate orpington large fowlthe cockerell is looking a little awful at the moment as he is going through the moult, as the pictures show he is a little light around the head i'm sure this will go darker and blend in as it is just a recent development after his moult this yearhe has always have a good colour and all young stock has always been coloured correctly read morethese birds are 18 months old i bought them in last year from unrelated stock to add to my breeding birds but due to unforseen circumstances i'm having to cut down, i have a few spare pullets that can be added to this group, they are all friendly birds and come to call

This beautiful hen is laying already, keeping the reputation of the light sussex breed as superb egg layers intacti dont vaccinate as vaccination doesnt stop the birds getting the virus, its just stops them showing symptoms, and i'd like to know if my birds are carriers of anything! all my birds are treated for lice and worms every 6 months, every three months through summer, i keep a healthy free ranging flock, please come and see! read morei select my hybrids carefully and hatch and raise my own to ensure no disease gets into the flocki am breeding for a coloured egg basket and varied interesting flock so i am just keeping one bird from each line and selling the rest so will have many more pullets available over the next couple of years
