They are all ready to nowthey are now starting to lose their baby feathers and growing their new adult feathersi only have 4 japanese quail forsale,i had 18 hatch out now have 4 left to go to new homes all ready now,they will be 2weeks old on tuesday 28th july,they were born on tuesday july 14ththey make lovely petsplease note wont know the sexes till 5/6weeks read morethey can go into any type of box from till they move outside into a rabbit hatch with run,newspaper in the bottom of cage with dawdust and hay in the rabbit hidy bitthey can go outside from 6weeks oldfemales will lay eggs from aged 7/8weeks and they lay them everyday they are the size of an oliveif you have a male in with the female then you will get fertile eggs from brought 10days after your female starts layingthey eat chick crumb till age 6weeks,from 4weeks old i mix chicken mixed corn and layers pellets in with the crumb then from age 6weeks the don’t need the crumb anymore and they have oyster shell grit from 6weeks but not mixed in with their food,it’s in a separate bowlthey need a shallow water dish till age 1week as they can drown and you need to put stones in the bottom so they don’t fall in and drownif you want them from 5weeks old so you don’t have to buy a heatlamp then i will hold them for you with a non refundable deposit of halfi won’t be able to tell if male of female till aged 5/6weeks the males crow and the female s don’tyou can eat all eggs fertile or not they taste the samethey need a heat lamp till aged 5weeks,but in this weather they should be fine without heat lamp from 4weeks old but must be at room temperature if no drafts

She had a poorly injury that she has now recovered froma single italian quail that is one of 6 we bought at the start of lockdown to ensure we would have sufficient eggsshe had a bloody area near her eye and i don't know if it was another quail or if my dog had managed to claw at heri am therefore offering her here to a good home! we are currently handling her twice a day as she goes in the run under a box during the day and sleeps indoors at nightobviously, this is not necessary to continue! read morethere is not a bully in the flock and they are getting along harmoniously, however as they are all to be sold, i am reluctant to put her back in with the othersthe other 5 and all the equipment are offered separatelyhowever, the others were attacking her because of the blood

They hatched out on tuesday 6th october,they are ready to leave nowi have had 44 japanese quail hatch out of 53eggs,they eggs came from my own adult quailsduring the summer they can be sexed at 4/5 weeks old but during the colder weather from now can’t tell the sexes till about 8/10 weeks old this is because they need 14hrs of daylight time to be able to either lay eggs the girls or males will foam out of their bits & will crow slightlythey will start to fly at about 2weeks oldthey are best living in 3s or more so i will only let them leave in 2 or morethey will need a heatlamp till 4 or 5weeks old then will need to live at room temperature till 7weeks old when they can then move outside into a rabbit hutch with separate run or run underneathany more information then please contact meonly 16 quails leftthe quails are unsexedcollection westbury wiltsthey are eating chick crumb which they will eat till 6weeks oldthey are drinking water but they will need stones in the bottom of the water dish till they are 2weeks old as this helps them to not fall & drownmore due to hatch on 22nd october, last hatch till next yearwhen they are 4weeks old they will need mixed corn & layers pellets mixed in the the crumb but each day add more corn & pellets & have less crumb then at 6weeks old the should be fully off crumb
