We are experienced dog owners and just want to give a dog in need a nice homeson's dog is small and friendly/unbothered by other dogshello, our 17 year old dog sadly passed away in may and we are now ready for a small (or small-medium) dog to join our dog-loving familywe recognise that it will take time to find a dog that meets our specific requirements and are happy to wait until we can find the right match both for us and the dogwe're not bothered by breed or gender, the main priority is the dog being the right fitthis is due to us having our 2 year old grandson and son's dog at our house frequentlywe have a soft spot for scruffy, slightly odd dogs but this isn't essential! our main requirements for a dog is that he/she is friendly with (or at least not bothered by) young children and other dogsdue to holiday commitments we wouldn't be looking for the dog to join our home until october, but until then we are happy to complete home checks and visits to ensure the dog will be comfortable with uswe're not after a puppy and are happy to have a dog of up to about 5 years oldwe can offer the dog a loving home in a quiet area of chichester where someone is home the majority of the timeif you have a dog that might meet our requirements then please do send a message so we can learn about the little guy/ladyour grandson is fairly sensible with dogs and is always supervised when at the house, but he is still young and the dog would need to be able to be comfortable with his energetic anticsit's also important for us that the dog be within about 20 miles of chichester, west sussex so that we are able to do introductions with the dogs and grandson to ensure that everyone gets along okayour house has an enclosed garden and a park nearbythank you for reading our ad! read more
