'of the imitation of christ' - aids to the inner lifeany questions please asklondon henry frowde, oxford warehouse and longmans, green & cothank you for looking:)archdeacon of cleveland, canon of york, rector of kirby misperton, and rural dean of maltonthe spine is torn slightly as you can see from photos and the leather covering is worn in places round the edgesi found a few newspaper cuttings inside, presumably from the era, adding to the collectabilityhaving a turn out and this is, i believe from research, one of four part books written by thomas à kempis circagold edging to pagesthere is a small red mark on page 127, i'm uncertain what from, possibly a red penthe pages are intact with no tears, and the expected colour changes of agetranslated and edited by the vengold embossed title on frontwhether religious or not, this is a beautiful little book to own, and from what i can discover a rare antiquityotherwise the book is in fabulous condition for its age
