portmeirion pottery began in when pottery designer susan williams-ellis (daughter of sir clough williams-ellis, who created the italian-style portmeirion village in north wales) and her husband, euan cooper-willis, took over a small pottery-decorating company in stoke-on-trent called alovely retro vintage portmeirion meridian casserole dish designed by susan williams-ellisthese two businesses were combined and portmeirion potteries ltd was borngray for some years, commissioning designs to sell at the gift shop in portmeirion village, the items bearing the backstamp "gray's pottery portmeirionware"in , the couple purchased a second pottery company, kirkhams ltd, that had the capacity to manufacture pottery, and not only decorate itthe casserole dish is in excellent condition with just the minor firing imperfections it left the factory with and some minor crazing to the glaze to prove the age! please refer to the photos for further detailmade in englandsusan williams-ellis had been working with acollection onlydecorated with purple pink and orange on a white ground

Lovely portmeirion pottery tea set designed by ella doran and in the fuji (phalanopsis orchid) and tahiti decor fromall the main service of teapot, creamer and 4 duos are in excellent condition and carry the ella doran portmeirion backstamp with either fuji or tahiti on itthese were barely used if at alli have the sugar dish in vgc somewhere but at the moment i have mislaid itwith the 3 individual cups 1 has the full backstamp but a tiny chip to the rim, one has the oval backstamo as it was sold through their factory shop and is in very good condition and the 3rd individual one has a sample backstampconsists of a teapot creamer, 4 cup and saucer duos (2 of each set) and an extra 3 odd fuji single cups which don't have saucescash on collection from stafford is great but i'm happy to send using a signed for service if that cost is covered by the buyer please and have paypal thanks:) read more

It’s in fab condition, no stains, no crazing, no damage or restoration and pottery is clean and brightthe filter part has a very slight kink in it but it doesn’t effect its use and doesn’t show at all when i’m use or on display, just shows when you clean itit’s had very light usethanks for looking:) read morehi this cafetière carries the crest backstamp that was replaced in so this dates to then or before, so at least 20 years oldhappy to post if buyer pays postage cost thanks:) it’s a lovely item, just too heavy for me now as i have hand problems
