The good bits - tonto is a fantastic companionskewbald, three year old, standard shetland pony type (not registered) geldingthe not so good bits - although quiet, tonto is very nervous around peoplei purchased tonto a few months ago to be a companion pony to my older horsehe is tricky to catch and needs to be kept in restricted turnout for this reasonhe is very easily spooked and very good at scaring himself! he is not suitable for children or noviceshe loves his treats and starts to relax if the handler is calm and steady around himonce you’ve got him, he’s happy to be brushed and have a fusshe’s happy to be left alone and doesn’t get attached to other horseshe just needs a one to one, sympathetic handler to give him time and let him learn to trustor to just be a companion and left alonewhen i bought him i was told he’d not had a good start in lifeyou can take others away and he doesn’t whinny or get sillyhe comes over for food in a bucket and that’s how i catch himit’s much easier having him in a smaller space, at least until he learns to trust youmy older horse has since been sold and now this little chap is by himself and in need of a new homebut then some days if a bird flies out of the hedge and spooks him then he’ll think you’ve hurt him and doesn’t want to knowsadly i just don’t have the time to give him what he needshe’s just very nervous but with the stubbornness of a shetland! he’s passported, wormed and feet trimmedhe’s been stabled and is happy to be left in or go out on his own/with companyhe is quiet and calm in the paddockhe’s a lovely looking chap with gorgeous blue eyeshe is a shetland type but not overweight and doesn’t get fati don’t want much for him, but he isn’t free as i don’t want him ending up in the wrong handsif he went in a huge paddock you wouldn’t get near him

She is great at handy pony and mounted gamesbad bits not good for children to bath as fidgets to much this is not her favorite thing i no she's greyi believe if you had older children to school her she would also make a first ridden but also capable for a second pony with a confident capable childstands all day with a net at showsshe has been groomed, plated and feet picked up by my daughterhundreds of videos and pics on requestdeposit taken sprinkles sadly for sale as now needing a first riddenlead by my daughter can be cheeky when lots of grassshe is the perfect on the lead rein with all riders she taught my daughter the basics walk, trot canter and jumpinghas been to pc rallies and campsridden alone and in groups hacks out beautifully on her own or leading from another horseshe is barefoot, vaccination and teeth up to date both due aprilregular back checksalso can be mareish supplement given works and also not great when left in field alone you can take her away no prob but not the other horse fine in a group
