Baxter is a rescue and i have had him for around 8 monthsexperienced dog owners only - preferably rescue dogs i am looking to rehome my dachshund cross jack russell, baxteri am rehoming him for his sake, he needs someone who can commit a lot of time and patience as his training is going to be an on-going thing*looking for loving, suitable home* no time wasters, only serious parties pleasei will not just hand him over straight away as i want to feel confident that both him and yourselves feel comfortable with him leaving with youhe is very, very anxious of new people and new situations so please be aware when you first meet him, he will not like youi am more than happy to share with you the training he has already gone through and what we are working on at the momenti want you to be clear about what you are taking on with baxter and what will happen when you first meet himbaxter is an extremely affectionate, loving dog however he is also extremely anxious, nervous and reactivehowever after he meets you a few times, he will begin to trust you a little and relaxhe lives with myself and my family in cardiffthis is the last thing i wanted to do but i know that it is for baxter's own goodhe has been going through training to help combat this but unfortunately, it is just too much for all of us to handle with our other commitmentsi won't sugar coat it, he will bark, lunge possibly snap and perceive you as a threatdue to his anxiety and reactivity, ideally his new home should have lots of space for him to run around, where his owners are around most of the day and do not have many visitorsplease be aware this is the hardest, most heartbreaking thing i have ever have to doplease contact if interestedhe is black and tan and just shy of two years oldhe is house trained, crate trained and walks lovely on the lead (we have been working on recall but to be honest he finds being off lead very overwhelming)
