Calls make lovely, friendly pet ducksthey become very tame with careful and regular handlingplease consider the commitment carefully - calls can live for up to 10 years but are generally very healthythey are a small breed so do no damage to the garden (although they do love a bit of mud !)they will require safe, fox-proof housing at night but will thrive with supervised free-ranging when safe to do sohowever, they do need permanent access to clean water - a childs sand pit makes an ideal 'pond'the third photograph shows the lovely colouring of apricots as adultsnow off heat and ready for their new homecall drakes live very happily together without a female and are quiet enough for a residential area as they make a 'rasping' sound rather than the characteristic loud quacking of the femalesthey do not need a pond (although they would like one)the price is for the boys to stay togetherincubator hatched and hand reared from my small flock of unrelated calls in junei have two pure apricot call duck drakes available to go together to a pet/garden type homeif you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me
