I find it hard to believe that this is an original gibson case – there is no logo that i can see, and the quality seems a bit low – but it may beit obviously took a few knocks in the early days, and it shows them proudlythe hard case worksmore importantly, it seems to me to be in perfect structural condition, with no sign of there having been a neck re-set or of it having suffered any serious damagei don’t know anything about s gibson casesat any rate, it does the job of keeping the guitar safe from point a to point band it never lets me downand see my other ads!and, even more importantly, it plays and sounds beautifulit’s certainly oldi’m happy to wrap it and its case in cardboard and post it outabout £40 p&p (uninsured) in the uk, or i can get a quote for insured or elsewhere (or you can handle that side yourself)this would appear to have happened in this casehaving looked through various gibson forums it seems that the adjustable bridges were not popular, and many players replaced them with a fixed bridge, which produced a far better, more stable sounda very special guitaralthough i keep most of my top-end guitars in their cases, this sits on a stand near to my seat so that i can pick it up whenever i feel the need to make some musicthe one thing that seems to be non-original is the bridgethe original owner gigged it heavily in the s and s, then it was eventually acquired by a guy who was more into jazz guitars, and so i bought it from himyou can see from the photos that it says it has an adjustable bridge, but you can see from other photos that it does not
