This is a beautiful old burns jazz split sound which i have owned for 55 yearsa few years ago, i made a new scratchplate so that the guitar could be used as a synthesiser if requiredthe guitar is sold collection only and the buyer will pay cash on collectionthis is a huge advantage to the buyer because it means they get to have a good look at the guitar before parting with any hard earned cashthe guitar bears the marks of a very long life but nothing serious as you can observe from the imagesthe roland synthesiser comes as part of the packagei will not accept payment via paypaleven the original truss rod adjustment key survives! i was never a fully pro musician but like many, did some amateur work along the wayi bought it in from bill greehalghās music shop in exeter when i was at st lukeās college and have owned it ever sincei did it such a way that the original guitar body was not modified or altered any way and, as may be seen from the pictures, it has now been returned to its original configurationitās about Ā¾ hourās work to change the scratchplates over and an extremely simple procedure because i made it that wayi will answer any sensible questions within 24 hours or soonerit has not been resprayed or refrettedthe guitar and the synthesiser come with a generic hard casesit was made in either or and apart from one pot (see picture) it is entirely originalthe result is, fortunately for the guitar, quite light use (the majority at home) and some good care from meit also makes the guitar uniquethis makes the guitar exceptionally versatile and expands hugely its applications for music making whether at home or giggingi am happy to provide a full receipti have 31 images in total so if you need/want/would like to see more, please just ask

The lp: labels: classic uk 1st press red ridged "unboxed" decca labels!!! both sides are fantastic with no real signs of age, no writing, no stickers, and no tears whatsoever!!! just has a small amount of ultra light spindle marks which suggests that this has barely had much play over the years at all!!! awesome for a 48 year old record!!! both must grade overall at least as very good++++!!! record: visual - spectacular original uk 1st press vinyl!!! nice bright, clean and shiny as if it was just pressed!!! fantastic jet black mirror like surfaces, it looks incredible with no nasty scratches, groovewear, or nasty deep scuffs whatsoever!!! the only blemishes off perfection are just one or two barely visible totally non-sounding cosmetic scuffs, a few of the lightest, wispy sleeve traces/cleaning lines (only visible in strong angled light) and only one or two ultra light non sounding hairlines from where it has sat or been removed from it's cover over the years!!! of course, none of these ultra light blemishes affect play at all!!! phenomenal for a record of this age and rarity!!! you'll be amazed by how generally clean and unworn it is!!! must grade overall at least as very good++!!! (graded strictly to the uk rrpg standards, not overgraded at all!!! customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me) record: audio - thankfully, it plays amazingly with fantastic mono blast and clarity!!! it really sounds incredible with no hisses, hops, distortion, sticks, or skips!!! only like pretty much all records has the very rarest quiet tick here and there, and possibly just the merest touch of low level static in the rarest few and far between places such as on the run in grooves and between some tracks, but that's truly about it!!! the vast, vast, majority of the music is truly crystal clear - it really does play with a cd-like near 100% black silence, but with that bass, depth, clarity and warmth you can only get from original uk vinyl!!! even the vast majority of the quiet sections!!! absolutely essential!!! astonishing for a record of this age and rarity!!! must grade overall audibly at least as excellent++!!! (graded strictly to the uk rrpg standards, not trashed or overgraded at all!!! customer satisfaction is of 100% importance to me) sleeve: original uk withdrawn 1st press front laminated flipback james upton "blind man" sleeve complete with original inner!!! impossible to find this sleeve in anything approaching a good condition - most are spent, torn and worn due to age and the lifestyles of the buyers of this particular lp!!! this one is not, and looks fantastic, especially considering the nature of these fragile sleeves!!! no tears, no graffiti, no seam splits or edge rubbing, no bad marks at all, and still ultra strong and solid after all these years!!! only has a few mega light signs of ageing such as just a tiny amount of ultra light creases and the merest hint of a record imprint, some minor signs of ageing to the still bright unlaminated back such as the slightest dulling here and there and only a small amount of tiny little age spots (absolutely nothing drastic - no coffee cup rings, writing or graffiti whatsoever), a touch of denting to the four corners which virtually every vintage sleeve has, and possibly (just to be sure!!!) one or two other minor signs of age here and there, though nothing that really stands out to note at all!!! and that's truly about it!!! i tend to bring it down by listing the most minor negatives i can possibly find, but this remains an outstanding sleeve and a true rarity to find one as amazing as this - most have been virtually destroyed or are just about being held together, but not this one!!! it remains ultra strong, solid, un split and unspoilt, and even the spine remains ultra strong, solid, un split and 100% readable!!! must grade overall at least as very good+++!!!
