These hens are 5 months old, pol and wormed ready for salemy blue splash are very different to the usual standard coloured orpington’s, but they are pure bredif you want something a bit different and wow, certainly worth looking at thesethese are pure bred orpington’swill do a discount for 5 birds or morethese are my own blue splash orpingtonsi breed orpington’s and wyandotte’s so happy to do a mix to make up 5 birdsi have 2 exhibition/ show quality, a lavender blue base with an even blue fleck all over the body, and the others are a mix of lavender blue with the odd blue fleckfor breeding, showing or eggs these are certainly different to your average henthey lay, eggs per yearall my birds free range in the day and get shut up at nighti’m a hobby breeder, so only 6 birds available, 2 of which are show or breeding stock qualitythey are large fowl, but probably the friendliest, gentle breed of all chickensthe blue fleck normally becomes more pronounced after the first adult moltthey are prone to going broodie, but make excellent mothersit’s taken me 6 years to create a consistent, high quality blue splash
