This is a handmade, handwired, boutique amp and cab made by rob dix of rda and was custom built for me about four years agoif you go to the rda site you can find lots of great info about the dualist spec & designthe amp is essentially a dumble style preamp, so has one channel but with a second gain stagethe output tubes are four 6v6, providing about 28 watts in cathode biasin the preamp there are five 12ax7/ecc83 tubesthis is a very loud 28 watts mind, and for gigs i have run it through an attenuator to allow the 6v6s to work their magic – this is definitely not a bedroom amp; although excellent clean and distorted tones can be achieved at lower volume (but without the chewy 6v6 power amp breakup)the speakers are a 10” celestion alnico gold, paired with a 12” celestion alnico creambackthe workmanship is outstanding, and it is in excellent conditionthis is capable of producing a significant amount of preamp gainthe amp is valve rectified via a gz34 tubethe output stage is class-a, cathode biased ‘tweed’ stylethis combination provides a very broad dynamic range, with a tight bottom end and sweet clear highsi hate to see it go, but it has barely been used during the pandemic and i am now using a jtm45 as my main ampon the front panel, the gain 1 knob has a ‘pull-bright’ option, the bass control has a ‘pull fat’ option and the middle control ‘pull boost’ (if the footswitch is not being used)this means that in practice it is really a two-channel ampalso features a very subtle tube reverb & crystal-clear valve buffered fx loopa two-button footswitch (stereo cable required) activates the ‘dual’ and ‘boost’ functionsideally, it will go to someone who will take it out and gig it on a regular basis! read moreon the back panel is a knob that allows the degree of overdrive in the second gain stage to be set

Marshall jtm 60 guitar amp and 1x15 speaker cabthe cab is rough built but sounds and works fine, looks ok and contains the original 15" speaker, which if i remember correctly is a marshall branded eminencethis started its life as a 1x15 combothe amp has had a replacement output transformer fitted and been fully re-valvedother work carried out was the replacement of the preamp valve bases and relocation of filter capsif you want full specs, do a google searchthis one doesn'tthere's also a home made channel change footswitch which works finei separated the amp from the speaker as i prefer a closed-back soundi have a downloaded a user manual to go with the amp read moreas can be seen, i have also added a vent to allow heat to escape, these amps were poorly designed by marshall and tended to overheat
