moss bros & co started creating military uniforms for the army in the decade followingthis is a royal engineers uniform, and the label suggests it is circa ww2 but as military uniforms do not differ much between decades we are unsurejacket features: mandarin style stiff collar with hook fastening and ubique badges epaulettes with button at top single breasted five buttons down front two chest pockets with scalloped flap and button fastening metal hooks at waist for belt two waist pockets with scalloped flap double vented pointed cuff detail with two buttons inside pocket with dry cleaning tags, moss bros label, and names of past owners all buttons are original, metal, royal engineer ones measurements: chest 37", nape to hem 30it has been kept in remarkably good condition, and still has all of the original buttons! condition: vintage and good, epaulettes have some holes and are loose, probably due to decorative elements being taken on and offsmall mark on red of trousersslight wear in armpits5", inside sleeve 18" trouser features: button fastening button fly braces buttons v at back on waist trouser pleats red stripes down both legs two pockets hems have been taken up and hand finished, probably by second owner measurements: waist 30", inside leg 33", outside leg 45", stripe width 2" see oxfam website for delivery information read more
