The luthiers took the bridge down when i took it inboth say that this will happily play as an intermediate instrument and it is in good shapeit comes with a bow and a nice newish casethey said that it will need new strings soon, but the current ones will serve for a bit longerthe tone is quite a low baroque i am toldi am told that it was made in the s, the usual wear and tear, but it is in very good shapei'm not a violinist so i don't know much, but i've taken this down to a luthier and it's been examined by two of themit plays powerfully with a very bright ring

I bought it off e-bay some years back and had it refretted by nigel of leicestershire luthiers with evo gold fret wireyou are unlikely to need a fret dress for many years as it wears very slowly indeed"i researched this guitar via the g&l registry" expensive to import and hard enough that refrets take more workshop timeone-off built to the same specs as the fender " jerry donahue" stratocasterhe left it with a friend in london who sold itit seems guitar was designed to tempt jd into some kind of endorsement deal which didn't happen but he hung on to it and played the frets right down to the boardthe shop is mentioned on g&l registry and supplied the storyto a musical instrument shopmiddle knob does not function as tone control, but is 2-position switch- one setting normal stratocaster 5 positions, other setting gives beefier sound on in-between positions (2&4)
