These are crossed from my buff orpington cockerel to my black rock and light sussex hensorpingtons generally lay around 5 eggs per week, whilst the light sussex and black rock lay every day without missing a beatresulting chicks will lay anywhere between the two with a decent sized egg if hensunsexed i will not sell single chicks as they are sociable animals who need companyi have chosen to create these crosses to give a nice chunky bird that would be a great egg producerthe last two pics are from an older hatch, i have included them so you can see how the black ones feather up£6 each hatched on off heat proceeds go towards my chickens upkeep read moreideally, three is the ideal number but will sell in pairsfriendly and inquisitive breeds who will make great pets or laying chickensthey are already starting to get fabulously marked feathersthese will be fantastic egg layers and beautiful chickens

Last year i crossed my lovely rhode island red cockerel with my light sussex hensa good cockerel will also assist in eliminating any bullying in the female hensthe female hens went on to become good layers & the cockerels were 'fatteners'they will look after your hens if you are in need of a cockerel & give good warning of any predatorsboth cockerels are now just over a year oldthis is a standard cross used many years agothey would have been my mum & dad's chicken dinner many years ago - before the introduction of the current ross & cobb birds etcsocial distancing will be in effect with all callers - in the current climatethese two male hatching's are now looking for a homethe photo's were taken julyi have two for sale - £5they were hatched july
