The tone is quite a low baroque i am toldi am told that it was made in the s, the usual wear and tear, but it is in very good shapethe luthiers took the bridge down when i took it init plays powerfully with a very bright ringboth say that this will happily play as an intermediate instrument and it is in good shapei'm not a violinist so i don't know much, but i've taken this down to a luthier and it's been examined by two of themthey said that it will need new strings soon, but the current ones will serve for a bit longerit comes with a bow and a nice newish case
