It's a real german classic, easily comparable with any contemporary keilwerththese saxophones were produced for hohner under the control of max keilwerth, one of the 3 keilwerth brothers who played such a large role in german musical instrument historythey are very solidly built hornsit sounds great, rich, warm and sweet, the ergonomics are good and the intonation is excellentit also features a double-socket neck, a 'split d' on the right hand palm keys and a very efficient and simple neck grip similar to that used on martinsthe lacquer is almost completely intactthis is from the classic period, before the 's, when the president had rolled toneholes (later versions do not)
