Pity, as this is a very light-weight, easy to operate unit which has very few parts and almost nothing to go wrong with itthe filter is unused and in perfect condition, and i've listed is as 'used' purely in the interests of total transparency that it has been with owneri bought this filter several years ago in canada with grand plans to get into the rockies, which then never happenedi'm selling this for £45 including postage in the uk if you're not local, which i think is a really good dealwhilst one can use iodine tablets and suchlike to purify wild water, a filter is better to get rid of particle matter like bacteria and giardiathis company, pur, was since bought out by katadyn, who now sell the identical product which sells for around £70 on amazon ukfamily and kids have meant that no hiking has taken place for ages and now it's time to spring-cleanplease feel free to contact me with any questions, thanks for looking
