2 irish draught mare 11 years oldto load, we have only ever had a trailer and think she would probably prefer a lorrythis is a sad sale, reason for sale is giving up horses altogether due to lack of timeto handle: bev is mareish, she is bolshy and strong in hand when in season, we handle her in a stallion chain and therefore she would only be suitable to someone who is experienced particularly with big bolshy horses (this is reflected in the price) 9/10 she is absolutely fine to handleshe also needs sedation to be clipped but is good for farrier and dentistshe is not strong or sillyshe is a good doer and will happily live in or outshe never refuses, you can guarantee she will jump whatever you point her at no matter how scary or technical and despite her being big she can turn on a sixpencefor this reason tack is negotiable (good quality tack) she really is a loving beautiful mare and deserves a 5* home who want to hunt, event or both - she’s very talented so can’t be wastedshe is very bold and brave and will take you to any fence even when you mess up the stride completely (she’s saved me on many occasions)mid to high 4 figures very honest advertshe enjoys a groom and loves foodshe has lovely rhythm and is very responsiveshe will hack out alone or in companyridden wise she is honestly pricelessto ride: bev is an absolutely amazing horse to rideshe has jumped all the bigger hedges no problemi love riding this horse and cannot fault her at allshe would do a lovely dressage testwhen not in season she will walk straight inshe is fit and ready to go (hunted a week ago and has been attending regular clinics, ridden daily) read morewhen in season she is not so willing to go in and can be difficult (we still manage to get her in)i have hunted her where she proved very brave and bold and happily led others over hedges/fences and was not strong
