  • They will need water in a small water dish & add stones into the dish till 3weeks old as they can fall in & drowni have 60 japanese quail eggs that are due to hatch on october 7thi line the flooring with newspaper from hatched then sawdust from 2weeks oldthe pictures of the quails are my last hatch on aug 15ththey will eat chick crumb from hatched till 6weeks old,at age 4 weeks i mix in layers pellets & mixed corn in with the crumb & slowly add more pellets/corn & less crumb at weeks old they should be off the crumb & on the corn/pellets full timethe quails won’t be able to leave till they are 1 week oldany more information then please contact methey will need a heatlamp from hatched till 5weeks old then they will need to live at room temperature from 5weeks till 7weeks oldquails are best living in 3s or more so i will only let them go in 2s or morethey will also need oyster shell grit from 6wks old but in a separate bowl or scattered about the floor of cage/runbut dont worry you won’t have baby quails unless you incubate your eggsyou can eat all eggs fertile or un fertile they taste the sameif you have girls they will starting laying eggs at about 7/8/9 weeks old,all mine have layed at 8wks oldpls note that females will lay eggs with or without a malethe eggs have come from my own adult quailscollection only from westburyoutside they can have hay in the dark side of the cage & sawdust in the other partif you have a male in with the females then your eggs will be fertile once she has layed her first eggswhile indoors they can live in any type of cage/box but will need a cover from 2weeks old as that’s when they start to flyprice is for eachfrom 7wks old they can move outside into a rabbit hutch with run underneath or separate run as they love to run around,they love to have a sand bath so i have play sand in a bowl for them to get in from 7weeks old

  • I have japanese quail that are due to hatch on 14th augthey just need newspaper in the bottom with an old towel or blanket for them to sleep on,they will need any type of bowl,takeaway bowl for the food & same for the water,but please put stones in the bottom of the water dish for the first 2weeks so they don’t fall in & drownyou can eat fertile or unfertilised eggs they taste the samequails can’t live on so im selling 2s or morefrom newly hatched till 5weeks they will need to live indoors in any kind of box with a cover so they don’t fly out which they do from 2weeks oldi use emty sweetie tubs for their food & water from 6weeks oldif you have females then they will lay their own eggs with or without males around,they will lay them from as early as 7weeks old & as late as 10weeks old,they are the size of an oliveif you have a male in with the female then you should get fertile eggs once the female has layed her first eggsthey should be the colours as the ones from my last hatchthey have hay in the hide bit of the hutch & sawdust in the rest of the hutchthey eat chick crumb from hatched till 6weeks old,from 3weeks old i mix in with the crumb some chicken layers pellets & chicken mixed corn,from 6 weeks old they won’t need the crumb anymore so will just have the pellets & corn,they also love to eat iceberg lettuce from age 3weeks,they will also need oyster shell grit from 6weeks old,they need this in a separate bowl from the foodthey will be able to go to new homes from 17th augthey move outside from 6weeks old into a rabbit hatch with a run underneath or a separate run as they love to run about outside,i have my grit spread about on the run floor,they love digging in itthey also love to have a sand bath so i have play sand in a plastic storage box & some in a washing up bowlthey will need a heap lamp from hatched till 5weeks old then from 5-6weeks they just live at room temperature
