I started the engine for the first time last week and it fired up on the second crank but itās not pumping water just a small trickle and wonāt shift gears prop turns freely though i can turn my hand to lots of things but engines forget it and having been offered a a more river suitable 20hp engine have decided to let it go which is a shame as the power lift would be a godsend when i eventually launch off the trailer the engine appears fairly good condition apart from an aluminium plate on the port side that has two corrosion holes held in place by about 18 bolts and some peeling paint on the top of the engine cover it will also include the control unit if thatās what itās called ie throttle ignition etc iāve tried to describe the best i can and will upload more pictures a soon as i can as iām away until the weekend read moresuzuki dt55 outboard engine with power tilt and trim this came with a project boat i purchased 6 months ago which iām in the slow process of converting from a fast fishing boat to a day/weekend river boat

The trailer has has only been in salt water once and was imediately washed with fresh water after it17ft wilson flyer with short cuddy(so plenty of deck space for fishing) on an extreme pivoting roller bed trailerthe boat also has controls for a johnson/evinrude outboard but will require fitting to your outboard (no outboard in sale) i had a 25hp on it and it got about ok but would probably be a wee bit better with something a wee bit biggeranyway defo worth the asking price and will be able to throw in some other accessories too (anchor/ropes/life jackets buoys oars)pick up from motherwell and you will need a trailer boardtime restraints and job change have prevented me using it this year hence the salethe boat is cosmetically rough looking but used it all last year without an issueits a cathedral hull and even having 2 of us standing at the same side of the boat it didnt feel anyway tippy (and we're not wee guys)(kind of like a break back only better) which allows you to wet or dry retrieve/load the boat onto itas far as stability is concerned its great
