Large live locomotive steam engine boiler -not sure of age - came from property clearance in chelsea these can fetch many many hundreds this size - just ÂŁ150 thats it !!!!!!

Traction steam engine copper kettle, thompson, ritchie and co 25 pint quick-boil copper kettle designed and made by thompson, ritchie and co, 34 victoria street, london in for steam traction engines, for use on the engine while on the go and on the spirit burner when the traction engine is not in use the 'quick-boil' feature is achieved by channeling heat from the flame up those tapered tubes, installed radially bottom to topsame principle as the boiler tubes in steam locomotive boilers and just as efficient boiling times are noticeably quicker than modern kettles, but a real benefit to is that although the concave base offers a decent measure of windshielding, siphoning off heat up the 'boiler tubes' means there's less reflected down onto the stove top, the boiler tube principle giving more surface area for the heat with other kettles the flames spill around and up the outside of the kettle which is not as efficient as directing those flames through tubes within the kettlethe unit has a nice old copper patina, which you can view in the pictures, the pictures of a polished copper kettle are ones i have borrowed to show it's effectiveness in use collection from ireby in cumbria ca7, 4 miles south of mealsgate, 12 miles north of keswick or courier charge fully insured is ÂŁ12 read morethe lid is has a nice porcelain knob i know these are selling in america for up to ÂŁ500 each but i will only post to uk addresses
