It has four girth straps each sidethe girth guards would appear to have been robbed from this lovely saddle at some pointlovely quality englishleather with some signs of wear on the flaps - on the near side over the point of the tree and on the off side at the bottomit has been stored indoors and in the dry for 50yrs at leastthis saddle hasnot been used in about 4 years and is just taking up spacein the houseit has been kept because it is a very lightweight full tree english leather saddle and ideal for breaking young horses -i have broken many with thisall of which were changed for new english leather ones 4 years ago and it has only been used for a few months sincecan be collected from herstmonceuxevenings or weekends or sheffield zpark during the week 8-4i learnt to ride on this saddle on my first pony almost 50 years ago it was bought secondhand then but has always been looked aftercash on collection only, pleasehowever i haven'thad any more youngsters for a while hiand feel that i am too old
