The information on the bottom says beatrix potter's the old lady who lived in a shoe fcopyright beswick england (in an oval also in gold lettering) l11 or 41 is believed to be the artist who made it i hope i have recorded all the details accurately, but if you need any further information, please email i am not at all knowledgeable on figurines so have taken expert advice before listing this itemaccording to the valuer this is the rolls royce of figurines and has been valued at £it was manufactured by beswick in either or 46 and is a first edition as the writing on the base is in goldbeautiful rare beswick figurine of 'the old lady who lived in a shoe' which was found in an old cardboard box when moving house, so i know very little about it's historyit measures approximately 3 1/2" from heel to toe and is 2 3/4" highit needs to be owned by someone who can really appreciate iti am happy to post this item to you for an additional costthere is some crazing especially on the top, however, apparently, this is usual on figurines made at this time and simply shows it is genuineotherwise it looks perfect - a bit grubby but too frightened to clean it
