Sam has grown up on a farm, he has lived outside all year around and isn’t used to domestic livingdue to him living on a farm his whole life he also has a massive fear of leads! we have found a slip lead is a lot more comfortable for him but he still struggles with having a lead oni live in a very busy area, there’s a lot of cars, people and noise that sam isn’t used tothe lead issue wouldn’t take long to fix at all, we have been told by trainers to walk him around the house or garden with a longline and gradually get him used to having a smaller space between you and him with the lead (the issue isn’t with the lead its with the pressure on his neck when he pulls away from you, that’s what we have found anyway) we feel sam would benefit with someone that has a lot of previous knowledge on border collies and would have the spare time to train himhe is house trained, and knows his basic commandssam is such a loving boy and we have fallen in love with him, however we cannot give him the time, energy and training that we feel he needsif you feel like you could give sam a great home, please get in touch! we want the best for sam and feel the sooner he finds his people the better! read morehe is also recall trained so once you gain his trust he will more than happily run back to you when you call his namethis is sam he is a beautiful red and white border collie with the most amazing orange eyes! we recently purchased sam and was so excited for him to join our family, he sounded like a perfect fit
