First act usa custom shop delgada artist guitar with hard case firebird explorer based in boston, the first act custom shop has been in business sinceafter school, i started working at the engineering department in the gibson custom shopi eventually became the special projects manager at the custom shop and was in charge of all of the fortune 500 guitars, around , i made it up to boston and got started with first act's custom shop first act usa custom build ex artist guitar so this was built for a first act usa custom shop artist the firebird of firebirds matt grey finish with cream binding mahogany body & neck sperzel usa tuners ebony fingerboard a pair of custom first act custom kent armstrong paf humbuckers hard case included very good condition there are some light plectrum marks which are very hard to show with the matt finish lots more pics avalible just ask read morethey approached kelly butler, who was the chief luthier up until three years ago, and he started putting together the shop one or two pieces at a timeheaded by industry-veterans jimmy archey [director of artist relations] and john mcguire [chief luthier], their little shop of rockers has a very extensive build resume for some of the biggest names in rock, both mainstream and undergroundi worked there at gibson for a total of 10 years, with about four of those years in the engineering sideeventually, we ended up moving to tennessee, where he worked for gibsonmy dad owned valley arts guitarsthe duo, along with their team of builders, have constructed pieces for artists as varied as the cure, maroon 5, paul mccartney, drive-by truckers, mastodon, ministry, aerosmith, and bon jovithey wanted to get some artists playing guitars with the first act nameback in , the company came up with the plan to start an actual luthier shop, initially for more of a marketing focus

fender custom shop custom order stratocaster ’61 relic serial: r made: this is a killer custom order, custom shop stratocasterthe sound is pure 60's stratocaster heaven peach had this made in the usa custom shop as a special custom order, so it is really a ‘limited edition’guitar as as it left the shoppurchased new by me from peach guitars (when they had a shop in braintree) never left the housefull spec can be seen on the shop floor traveller but here are the highlights alder body maple neck with rosewood fingerboard frets 10" radius fingerboard no finish on the back of the neck lightly aged ‘relic’ nitro finishstunning to playlovely fully lined (orange) original hard case and all certs and case candy are presentpeach guitars found a set of abigail ybarra pickups that they absolutely loved and had the pickups wound to that specthese are hand wound pickups and signed, full signature’ by abigail ybarravery light home play onlyif the pickups have the full signature then they were personally wound by abigail ybarracolour is a classic 'aged olympic white’ - definitely gone a more blonde/yellow colour now hand wound ‘red hot’ pickups by abigail ybarra the neck is a really comfortable medium 65 c shape, which has a nice amount of meat to it but it's still capable of rocking outif the pickups just have initials they were not personally wound by abigail, but wound by a team under her supervision
