Art deco table water jugcollectors art deco / vintage ceramics an unusual collection of 3 items of art deco / vintage ceramics 1art deco fruit bowl / serving bowlin good condition for it's age, the 'gold' lining around the edges shows some slights signs of wear and there is a small chip on the reverseblue / silver design around the upper part of the bowl with what is thought to be gold detailing around the edgemade in england by tf&s (thomas forester & sons), this is part of their 'phenix ware' rangemade and hand painted in hanley, staffs, heart of the potteries, by lancaster sandlandin really good condition for it's age, no signs of usefloral design on a cream backgroundmade in england by arthur woodthought to have been made in the 's11" diameter x 2individually numbered on the basethought to be early / mid 'sotherwise sound with just the inevitable hint of age related crazing in the glazein very good condition with no chips, cracks or crazingno chips or cracks but the inevitable slight crazing on the base due to agevintage lancaster sandland miniature toby jug

With classic art deco end panels on the basepretty compact design arts & crafts/art deco style draw leaf extending oak table and four chairscollection from wallingford, south oxfordshire or i am happy for you to organise a courier collection if wished and can recommend someone i have used before, just send me your post code so i can obtain a quotethere are some old woodworm holes in places on the base but the worm has long gonebase of table has been re waxed with a dark brown to refresh and maintain the traditional wood lookthere are four chairs, two sets of two that match in nicely and two of them have attractive ball & claw feet to the fronti also have a matching fifth chair for sale too if anyone is interested in purchasing this with the setthe table top leaves lift off easily for ease of transportation but the base does not come apart, however it will fit into a standard sized estate size carwithout extension the table measures 90cms x 90cms; with extension of the two side leaves its 152cms long and stands some 75cms highthe two leaves can then be pulled out to extend the table to a full width that will easily sit 4 to 6seats 4 with leafs in but when extending it will seat up to 6again the wood frames have had a new application of dark wax applied and the seats have been recovered in clarke & clarke "tilda" grey and white bold floral print fabricthe top has two separate side leaves that sit underneath if a smaller square shaped table is requiredthe top has been sanded back and an application of hard-wax oil applied (osmo clear matt) to seal

Available for collection onlyharland & wolff - original art deco - 2 arm chairsthey are covered in a deco fan design, two colour, wool un-cut moquettethis is a pair of art deco chairs made by/for harland and wolff for one of their shipsmy grandfather bought the set in a sale at a shipyard in the mid 50's, along with many other pieces, and we believe these items came off the mv georgic when it was decommissionedi suspect it is the construction of the pieces themselves - with their slotted back panelsboth pieces are entirely original - so some wear and tear is obvious on piping around arm rests, and balding patches (again on arm rests) in places, the chairs are still in great condition in terms of springs and structurei have tried to find out what the patent was for but have drawn a blankthe pieces have removable backs that slot into a metalhousing in the base, so that they can be removed when carrying the pieces down narrow corridors (i think)i think the photos are true for the quality of the items - but i am happy to add more photos of detailed areas of wear if requiredhappy to answer any questionsmy grandparents used this as their lounge furniture until theirhouse was sold in the late 80’s at which point it was moved to my parents house, and when i movedto my own place i took it with meeach piece has a 'harland and wolff' metal plate on the base
