A genuine victorian davenport deskdo not confuse this with a foreign reproduction deskdesigned as a military campaign piece of portable furniture by captain davenport cat some time someone has given this desk a few coats of clear glossy varnishany examination whatsoever is no problem, please wear a maskbe first to grab a genuine bargain at just £250 read morethis piece is in excellent condition though not pristine museum qualitythis is a beautyit's another these jobs i never get around to doing£2 worth a varnish and an hour or two in timemy intention was to lightly sand it and varnish it in a matt finish which in my opinion would look a lot better at virtually no cost
