My male cockatiel is fight with himi bought this cockatiel from some guy as a friend for my male cockatiel“you'll have to be patient and you'll have to continue to 'educate' the little bird to how to live outside the cage and how to learn to fly; it can take a while unfortunately!” is what the vet said in an emaili was told due to his busy life the bird was never taken out the cage, it’s a female and it’s just under a year oldall his feathers are there they were never clippedi got him 2 weeks ago, i paid £75i was told that he doesn’t know how to fly it looks like he has never learned, you need to give him light exercise every other dayi contacted the vet the same day, sent videos of the bird etcthe seller was contacted but did not reply to any of my messages(dominant silver mutation)only the next day did i realise that it’s is not able to fly(i don’t think it’s a female as he behaves just like my male)i did what the vet told me to the bird has improved, he is able to hold up its wings now as he wasn’t able to do that before, and is able to fly from perch to sofa at a low levelhe is a very beautiful bird, white face silverish wingsi need some 1 that has experience with birds that will be able to look after him and teach him how to fly
