I have 3 cockerels and 1 henhere i have 4 crossbred chickens for salethey are lovely chickens with an easy temperamentthe cockerels are just below medium size and the hen is bantamthe cockerels would be great for a hen herd missing a little man to protect them from predatorsi am pricing the hen at 15£ and the cockerels 5£, but can except any ideas for themi love these beauties so much but no longer have any space to continue to give them the love that they need, because they are not big birds they do not need a huge amount of space, i have them free range right now and seem to prefer this more than in a captive penthey can be bought as a flock or individually as long as they go into a flock at there new homes as they are most happy and safest this waythese guys are about 3 months old and are bred straight from my garden, we call them our easter surprise! i really don't mind on price just as long as these guys to go great homesthey range in colours, grey, white and brownhowever, i'm sure they will be happy either way to be in a pen as long as they have a big enough space to run and exercisethey will be afraid and shy at first in new surroundings but will be quick to adjust as long as they get treated a day with a bit of corn, they will be your best friends! read morethe hen hasn't started laying yet but is so sweet and will start to soon, however, when she is introduced to a new environment she will take time to adjust to feel comfortable to start to lay

It now transpires i have five cockerelsa couple of cockerels i thought & a couple of laying hensmother nature has a laugh - doesn't she?? you can find a lot about these rare breed chickens on the interneti have just copied a bit, just slightly amended:- "the ixworth is an english breed of white domestic chickeni purchased 6 ixworth fertile eggs from a good dealer earlier this yeari am impressed by how tame they areonly two are shown in the photo but all five are the sameit is named after the village of ixworth in suffolk, where it was created innot heard any crowing yetthey make sounds slightly like a duckit was bred as a fast-growing high-quality meat breed with reasonable laying abilities" they certainly grow fastwhen i pick one up to check him over - he chats away telling me all about his dayi fancied keeping an older rare breed
