The wethers are sought after as once castrated they produce the finest mohair, and continue to do so for much longer than intact adult males and femalescastration is done professionally by a vet once the goats are above 6 months to allow them time to grow to avoid potentially health issues if they are castrated too youngi have a group of wethers available for salethanks for readinggenuine enquiries only please do not enquire asking about 1 as they are a herd animal and will be unsettled if kept without others of their own kindthey are a breed that i describe to folks as being more like a dog than a sheep in temperament and can be contained relatively easily with stock fencingthese are pure bred angoras a docile living breed that are intelligent and produce beautiful quality mohair for natural spinning and has lots of uses including needlefelting, knitting and much morei have a group that are used to overwintering in stables or similar but will happily live outside with shelter as they don't enjoy standing in the raini will also potentially have a couple of nannies that have kidds at foot that will be available in the coming months
