I am a small hobby breeder of rare shetland fowl poultryshetlands are originally from the shetland islands and the hens lay a green eggi have selected 3 very attractive birds to make up this trio and they are those shown in the picture gallerythe cockerels are generally good natured and easy to handle - they are not overly noisythe birds will be treated with 'spot-on' for mite/lice control before leaving which will need repeating in 6 months timeif you are interested, please feel free to contact me with any questions and some details about your current birds and set-uphatched in march this year (so still very immature)the cockerels carry the dominant green egg gene which means almost all hen chicks they produce (if covering other breeds) will lay a blue-green eggi only breed from birds with the preferred 'tappit' (crest of head feathers) and i aim to produced nice dark eye colourthis is an opportunity for a keen poultry keeper to own a trio (2 pullets and 1 cockerel)they are between bantam and large fowl in size and correct in all coloursthe pullets mature slowly and pol is later than many breedssocial distancing is in place and i am sorry but i am unable to allow buyers to view the rest of my flock as i usually would - the birds on offer will of course be available to view up close before purchasing
