I am current chairman of the booted bantam society uk, and we have had great success with our birds at both the pcgb national championships and the federation championships showsas their name suggests they are a feather legged breed (their european name of sabelpoot refers to the sword like 'vulture hock' feathers) and as such they cause less damage to the garden when scratching aroundwe have available a trio of buff white millefleurs from this years hatchdespite their small size, which makes them ideal for children, they lay a decent sized bantam egg, and will lay around 150 eggs per yearafter having had many breeds over the last 40 years, these have been the most captivating characters of them all, so much so that we now only keep booteds in a variety of coloursthese birds are just starting to colour up so we have included photos of the parent stock so you can see what they should look like once they are fully matureif you have any questions about these birds or the breed in general please don't hesitate to contact methey are a true bantam with no large fowl counterpart, and should weigh between 650 and 850 grams
