The quails are unsexedonly 8 quails lefti have had 44 japanese quail hatch out of 53eggs,they eggs came from my own adult quailsthey are eating chick crumb which they will eat till 6weeks oldthey will start to fly at about 2weeks oldwhen they are 4weeks old they will need mixed corn & layers pellets mixed in the the crumb but each day add more corn & pellets & have less crumb then at 6weeks old the should be fully off crumbthey are drinking water but they will need stones in the bottom of the water dish till they are 2weeks old as this helps them to not fall & drownthey hatched out on tuesday 6th october,they are ready to leave nowthey are best living in 3s or more so i will only let them leave in 2 or moreany more information then please contact methey will need a heatlamp till 4 or 5weeks old then will need to live at room temperature till 7weeks old when they can then move outside into a rabbit hutch with separate run or run underneathmore due to hatch on 22nd october, last hatch till next yearcollection westbury wilts/can deliver if not farduring the summer they can be sexed at 4/5 weeks old but during the colder weather from now can’t tell the sexes till about 8/10 weeks old this is because they need 14hrs of daylight time to be able to either lay eggs the girls or males will foam out of their bits & will crow slightly

I have had 42 japanese quails hatch out of 47 eggsthey must go to homes in 2s or more as quails like to live together & they live better with more companythe quails are unsexed but they can be sexed in warmer weather at 6-8weeks old but in this weather sexing has been happening at weeks old, males will crow & foam from their bits & females don’tthey will need oyster shell grit from 6weeks old in a separate bowl or scattered across their run floor if you have a run,this helps them digest their food easily & helps the females lay normal hard eggs when they start to laycollection westbury wiltshirehatched out thursday 12th novemberfor more information just message methey also love a sand bath in just normal children’s playsandthey drink water from a jam jar lid or any lid or saucer,if you use something bigger you will need to put stones in the bottom till they are 3weeks old as they can fall in head first & drownthey also love eating iceberg lettuce as a treat once or twice a day which i jstart offering from 4weeks oldwhen they move outside they can have hay & sawdust in their hutchthey are eating chick crumb which they will eat till 6weeks old but from 4weeks old they will need chicken mixed corn & layers pellets mixed in with the corn then at 6weeks old the crumb can stop being given to them & they will then just eat the mixed corn & pelletsthey will be ready to go to new homes from friday 20th november when they are just over 1week oldprice is each or 5 for £20they will start to fly a little from 1 & half - 2weeks oldthey will need a heat lamp or heat plate brooder till aged 4weeks old,from 4weeks old they will need to live at room temperature till 6 or 7weeks old then they can move outside into a hutchthe females in warm weather normally start to lay at 8-10weeks old but in this weather they may not lay till weeks old,girls will lay egg with or without a male with them & eggs won’t hatch unless you incubate them
