It was manufactured by beswick in either or 46 and is a first edition as the writing on the base is in goldbeautiful rare beswick figurine of 'the old lady who lived in a shoe' which was found in an old cardboard box when moving house, so i know very little about it's historycopyright beswick england (in an oval also in gold lettering) l11 or 41 is believed to be the artist who made it i hope i have recorded all the details accurately, but if you need any further information, please email i am not at all knowledgeable on figurines so have taken expert advice before listing this itemit needs to be owned by someone who can really appreciate itaccording to the valuer this is the rolls royce of figurines and has been valued at £otherwise it looks perfect - a bit grubby but too frightened to clean iti am happy to post this item to you for an additional costthe information on the bottom says beatrix potter's the old lady who lived in a shoe fthere is some crazing especially on the top, however, apparently, this is usual on figurines made at this time and simply shows it is genuineit measures approximately 3 1/2" from heel to toe and is 2 3/4" high
