This silver plated glass bottom tankard was received as a graduation present many moons ago; however, my miserable mates never thought to have it engraved, which was a disappointment for me, but good news for the next ownerwe are decluttering in preparation for a house move so any reasonable offer will be acceptedthis and me have seen many good times, but alas doctor’s orders mean i should not drink too much these days so i’m giving another young man the opportunity to drink away his youth with his own special silver, glass-bottomed tankard; and if you are more thoughtful than my mates were, you can have it engraved for the lucky chapbesides having the one small badge of rank, as we called signs of pedigree (you might call it a dint, see the red ring on photo), the tankard, is still in great condition and shines beautifully when polished

It was manufactured by beswick in either or 46 and is a first edition as the writing on the base is in goldbeautiful rare beswick figurine of 'the old lady who lived in a shoe' which was found in an old cardboard box when moving house, so i know very little about it's historycopyright beswick england (in an oval also in gold lettering) l11 or 41 is believed to be the artist who made it i hope i have recorded all the details accurately, but if you need any further information, please email i am not at all knowledgeable on figurines so have taken expert advice before listing this itemit needs to be owned by someone who can really appreciate iti am happy to post this item to you for an additional costotherwise it looks perfect - a bit grubby but too frightened to clean itaccording to the valuer this is the rolls royce of figurines and has been valued at £it measures approximately 3 1/2" from heel to toe and is 2 3/4" highthe information on the bottom says beatrix potter's the old lady who lived in a shoe fthere is some crazing especially on the top, however, apparently, this is usual on figurines made at this time and simply shows it is genuine
