It was manufactured by beswick in either or 46 and is a first edition as the writing on the base is in goldbeautiful rare beswick figurine of 'the old lady who lived in a shoe' which was found in an old cardboard box when moving house, so i know very little about it's historycopyright beswick england (in an oval also in gold lettering) l11 or 41 is believed to be the artist who made it i hope i have recorded all the details accurately, but if you need any further information, please email i am not at all knowledgeable on figurines so have taken expert advice before listing this itemaccording to the valuer this is the rolls royce of figurines and has been valued at £i am happy to post this item to you for an additional costotherwise it looks perfect - a bit grubby but too frightened to clean itit measures approximately 3 1/2" from heel to toe and is 2 3/4" highit needs to be owned by someone who can really appreciate itthe information on the bottom says beatrix potter's the old lady who lived in a shoe fthere is some crazing especially on the top, however, apparently, this is usual on figurines made at this time and simply shows it is genuine
