I did not breed these from my own axolotl, but purchased eggs from a local reputable breeder, hatched them and have grown them on to this juvenile stageat this age their gender cannot be determined (usually 9 - 12 months, or longer for some males) they are eating all types of food, dendrobaena worms, repashy grub pie, axolotl pellets and smaller food such as live california blackworms or frozen bloodwormso about half to one third fully grownno heater needed but a chiller may be required in warmer summersthey are coldwater creatures so best temperature is around cthere are several good groups on facebook or search for a website called caudata these are available as collection only, no postage/shipping options available read more**update have now moved to their new residences, i still have a few left though** i have wild type axolotls available to be rehomedthey were hatched on and are approx 6 inches from snout to tip of tailyou will need a cycled aquarium ready (i cannot provide equipment or tanks) they can live for years so you need to carry out research before you commit to a pet for this length of timethese should be kept in a single species aquarium as other fish will be seen as food or may harm the axie
