I am selling my antique metal trunk made by the jones brothers and co ltd of wolverhampton in the early 'scompletely original conditioni have never seen one of these trunks that was gold gilded inside and so highly decorated which leads me to believe this was made for an officer of high standingwith an army british made trade mark inside and the crescent decoration on it which was made with a rounded stick when the black paint was still wet and this was because the crescent was seen as a symbol of good luck in africathese trunks were called owomeji uniform trunks made for postings to africaa truly beautiful item in its completely original stategood vintage condition relative to ageplease see photos closelyit measures 93 cm x 59 cm x 29 cm and is quite stunning
