Harland & wolff - original art deco - 2 arm chairsthis is a pair of art deco chairs made by/for harland and wolff for one of their shipsthey are covered in a deco fan design, two colour, wool un-cut moquettethe pieces have removable backs that slot into a metalhousing in the base, so that they can be removed when carrying the pieces down narrow corridors (i think)i think the photos are true for the quality of the items - but i am happy to add more photos of detailed areas of wear if requiredi suspect it is the construction of the pieces themselves - with their slotted back panelsmy grandparents used this as their lounge furniture until theirhouse was sold in the late 80’s at which point it was moved to my parents house, and when i movedto my own place i took it with mei have tried to find out what the patent was for but have drawn a blankboth pieces are entirely original - so some wear and tear is obvious on piping around arm rests, and balding patches (again on arm rests) in places, the chairs are still in great condition in terms of springs and structuremy grandfather bought the set in a sale at a shipyard in the mid 50's, along with many other pieces, and we believe these items came off the mv georgic when it was decommissionedavailable for collection onlyhappy to answer any questionseach piece has a 'harland and wolff' metal plate on the base

British made art deco oak wardrobe and chest of drawers with gorgeous handles, shabby chic'd in antique white then waxed an extremely reluctant sale of our beautiful set as just moved house and dont have space for everythingpainted and waxed from a furniture restorer at a country house in norfolk a couple of years ago minor damage to a bit of trim on one leg, but a good local carpenter has crafted a replacement for it but never quite finished the jobthe chest is 42" wideregistered design f5" high including the decorative upstandit is a really good replicapull out hanging railskey / lock works okso the replacment piece is with it and just needs finishing off and sticking onall original i guess, at least one shelf is removablewe bought this as it isoverall sizes:- wardrobe 74" tallwe will do it if we get time
