antique victorian solid cast brass lions head door knocker original patina large heavyvery heavy and a beautiful rare example with a friendly face rather than a frightening one ! measures about 14cm wide, 21cm in length including the knocker and projects about 5cm outwards reclaimed from a victorian house in liverpoolthere is a slight copper hue to the metal which i assume is due to the high copper content of the alloythere are 2 fixing bolts and a knockeri am not sure if knocker is original as it needs to be stripped of paint
